This is Series 3, Yoga is ...

You are on...Episode 2 Yoga is like going back into a room cause you can’t remember why you left it in the first place.

So if you are here, you have felt this before. Those moments of wondering how you could forget when you knew a minute ago exactly what you were all about.

I had years of moments of this, when my internal life felt like the extreme sport of parcore- my external life seemed so quote‘ normal, what is normal I have to add unquote and happy living my life.
It was obvious if you knew me at any time, there was a deep split. I probably didnt vocalise it, but I remember becoming vague. All stemming from of what I thought should be happening, in contrast to what was occurring. And worse yet, I have no recollection of how it began. I had good company though, Yoga and Ayurveda helped me more back then because it was one thing I kept turning towards. That is when I learned that I was lucky.

A lot depends on what we affirm daily that helps us to find what we forgot.

Imbalances that we live with everyday can be helped by understanding how Yoga and Ayurveda work together.

For today we are just looking at an imbalance with mind, action...which are all related to the breath. What isn't!?

This means we look specifically at Vata first because it dominates mind and breath and movement.

Next to pinpoint what will help us rebalance, we work out which vata sub-dosha is not balanced optimally. The vata sub-doshas are known as the Vayus, there is relaxation on that.

And the vata sub dosha most useful for us today is Udana vayu. This will help us find practices and remedies in Yoga and Ayurveda !

Postures that can help memory are basically any pose that requires focus. So all postures! Specific physical postures?
Anything to do with the head, throat, neck, shoulders, arms. But most especially Pawanmuktasana..our mind has to learn to free up the pathways of communication again. Pawanmuktasnana is a systematic release and relax practice.

This should be practiced for a series of weeks.

Yoga in the modern world often gets pushed into a room of physical views, but Yoga as a rule is a whole body mind connection.  Of which the aim is Moksha, liberation.

Wouldn’t it be great to be relieved of all our doubts, we forgot something and sometimes it can just create a barrage of internal fears and anxiety that are just not true. Not true at all.

What is the recurring thought you have that keeps you in a certain place? Like I mean, just that simple phrase

‘I could never do that!”

How would you be without that limiting thought?

We could all do many things, it just depends on how circumstance, emotional intelligence and space to grow….it took me ten years to get to this The Dosha Life podcast!

Yoga is like going back into a room cause you can’t remember why you left it in the first place...You can think of it alternately, you have not forgotten what you were doing , but that you left something behind...isnt that why when you go back to the room you left you remember again?

I think it is such an interesting phenomenon beCause conscious thought had a split ….like chasm, and everything fell ..leaving behind the moment of collection, and the hurried moment of getting something completed, like loading the car or finishing the shopping list, or getting your usb speaker, or remembering something difficult, replaying it in you mind, and you weren’t even focused on this scenario, it just jumped into your mind like a big hugs clown jumping on stage...I am HERE! And then the forget mement. What was I doing?

Moments of split are moments of Remembering and Forgetting.

Like much of our life, through simple Yoga practices we find we are often in automatic, forgetting what we are doing because we are 30 minutes away planning for the next bit.

Yoga strings life’s pieces together, no matter how fractured or frustrating, Yoga is here to help create the pearls of wisdom arising in the mind body connection that will in fact lead us all to health, in as much as is possible.
